The Evinston Paint Out begins Monday, April 11 and runs through Saturday April 16. Leslie Long, "promoter extraordinaire", has fun things planned to enhance the experience for the public. Not only will you see 25 extraordinary artists painting from sun up to sun down each day but there will be hay rides onto private farms, Bar-B-Q each day, and a Family Fun Day for everyone to enjoy.
Kick back and relax, breath in the country air, watch cows grazing in the pastures,
see herons, egrets and Sandhill Cranes coming in for a landing, and marvel at the beauty of all the wild flowers scattered across the landscape. Sit with an artist as she/he creates a painting right before your eyes and then visit the wet room to see finished paintings as they arrive wet, right off the easel.This is an excellent time to add to your own art collection and to buy unique art gifts for family and friends. A portion of the sales is donated to the Wood & Swink Country Store and Post Office Presrvation Society.
